Description
A typical brioche from south-east France, the Pogne is the pride and joy of the town of Romans-sur-Isère.
The history of this brioche delicacy, with its sweet scent of orange blossom, takes us back to the Middle Ages, when it was made at the end of Lent for Easter. It is said that at this time of year, with the arrival of spring, the hens began to lay eggs again, and that the eggs that believers had been deprived of during the fasting period were naturally used in the recipe.
Eggs, flour... To make our Pogne de Romans, we use high-quality ingredients that are produced locally, as much as possible.
And because at Mes Délices Briochés we're big gourmets, we also offer our chocolate chip pogne. So good!
